A Christmas Movie Tradition

25 Days of Christmas Movies on ABC Family; a list of 'prime time' movies. TrishSutton.com

Along with all of our other traditions during the Christmas season, a few years ago my family decided to include a new tradition. Our added Christmas tradition was that we would wrap 25 (total) Christmas books and Christmas movies in wrapping paper, then beginning December 1st we would open one each night. Our new tradition made a welcome excuse for us to all come together in the evening during the most wonderful time of the year that often becomes the busiest time of the year.

As you likely know, ABC Family has a Christmas movie tradition of their own! Each night of the Christmas season ABC Family shows Christmas movies. Over time their list has grown and this year there are Christmas movies on throughout the night AND day for 25 days.

This year we are not wrapping our Christmas movies and books. This year we are relying on ABC Family for our nightly dose of Christmas along with the Christmas stories that we will read at bedtime (and if our lil’ guy has his way it will be The Polar Express every night of December just as it was November).

Do you have a favorite Christmas movie?

I have created a list of ‘prime time’ movies as a reference for my family; if you would like to see the complete list of movies shown many hours around the clock, stop by ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas 2015 Full Schedule here.

Did your favorite Christmas movie make the list?
