A Ghostly Treat; Candy In Costume

A Ghostly Treat; Candy in Costume for Trick-or-Treaters by TrishSutton.com

Remember that house on the street just down the way that used to hand out the “good candy”?  You know the one.  That house had quite a reputation amongst the neighborhood kids.

Year after year the couple that lived in that house would answer the door so cheerfully on Halloween.  They always waited for the words “trick-or-treat” and on occasion the man would tease about performing a trick.  Both the man and woman made a point to compliment every plastic costume that came to their door, be it Holly Hobby, Garfield, Strawberry Shortcake, Alf, Charlie Brown or another long forgotten character.

Without fail that house would have a lit Jack-O-Lantern next to the front door and year in and year out the couple would hand out the best candy on the block.  They might not live just down the way anymore but they have not been forgotten.

Fast forward; the memory going forward will be one of a house known to trick-or-treaters as the house down the way where the people cheerfully answered their door and handed out candy dressed in costume on Halloween.  A Ghostly Treat that would likely make a lasting impression on the Superheroes, Disney Princesses, Star Wars Characters, Ninja Turtles and Minions of today.

To create these candy characters cut the sheets of tissue paper into quarters.  Loosely wrap the top of each lollipop with two sheets of tissue paper.  Secure the tissue with a string or ribbon then draw a pair of ghost eyes and a nose onto each Ghostly Treat.
