To create an October Treasure out of Recycled “Junk” and turn Cans into  Ghosts, Spiders & Jack-O-Lanterns you will need the following items:

– Vegetable Cans
– a Drill
– Spray Paints in desired colors
– Painters Tape
– String
– Ribbons
– Glue

Begin by cleaning your cans and removing all labels.  Next, drill one hole into the top of each can.  Then spray paint the areas of the cans where you will want eyes & mouths.  I used white paint for my Ghost’s eyes and yellow paint for my Pumpkin & Spider’s eyes & mouths.  Cut the facial features out of Painters Tape and attach the tape once the paint has dried.

Then paint the entire can the main color of your can creation.  This is when I used white to spray my Ghosts, black for my Spiders and orange for my Pumpkins.  After the paint dries, remove the tape.  Thread the string to hang cans  and glue ribbons to the inside of the bottom of each can.
