Last year I shared a couple of our birthday traditions. You might remember that they included a jersey and a photo with a list of current favorites. I will be sharing this year’s jersey and ‘loves’ on Facebook very soon. But today I wanted to share another one of the birthday traditions at our house.
Every other year we celebrate our boys’ birthdays with a birthday party. On the ‘off’ years we celebrate with a birthday experience. Outside of the year that we surprised our oldest with a trip to Dallas to see the Cowboys play at AT&T stadium, we let the boys choose where their birthday experience will take us.

Today is our youngest’s 5th birthday! Last year he had a Superhero theme birthday party which meant that this year he would choose an experience. Even though there was no birthday party to plan we still needed a fun birthday treat to share with his classmates. This year’s experience included a road trip so it only seemed fitting that we use something car related as a theme for little treats he would take to his school friends.
