A couple years ago one of my in-laws informed me that the Christmas thank you notes my boys would write every year were not necessary. They said that etiquette is to only send thank you notes for birthday gifts and that I really shouldn’t send them at Christmas. (If you are itching to share your opinion on this I would love to hear it! Do tell in the comments section below.)

That was the last Christmas my boys sent handwritten thank you notes to family. (Now you really want to comment, am I right?) You are likely thinking “Who cares? Send the notes if that is who you are.” Etiquette is a strong word. It has made it’s impact on me. Scratch the Christmas thank you notes, birthday thank you notes it is.
Last month our youngest turned six. For his birthday we gifted him with an experience rather than a birthday party. Even without a party the little guy received a load of gifts from his Aunties and his Grandparents. To help him with sharing his appreciation I created simple Fill in the Blank Printable Kids Thank You Notes.

These printable notes are super handy for young children. When our 22 year old was the age of his little brother I created similar ‘fill in the blank’ postcards. This time around I made 3 1/2 x 5 flat note cards that fit nicely in a A1 notecard envelope (3 5/8 x 5 1/8) however they could also be sent as postcards.
