Recast Glass; Review/Giveaway

Recast Glass - Upcycled & Repurposed; Review at trishsutton.comTo kick-off one of my favorite months I am sharing a review on a thoughtful company that I have fallen in love with, Recast Glass.

This is a new favorite Small Business of mine.

To share in the excitement of Small Business Saturday at the end of the month and amidst Holiday shopping Recast Glass is sponsoring two giveaways!

What is Recast Glass?

Recast Glass is a small business that cares about our environment.  This small business is owned and operated by Paulo, whose goal is to reduce his carbon footprint.  This environmentally aware company offers a wide range of upcycled, recycled, & repurposed glass products.

Recast Glass Mission Statement
To offer multifunctional and unique products from repurposing
wine, liquor and beer bottles, in a manner in which has a low
environmental impact.  So as not to defeat the purpose of reducing waste.
From removing the labels to shipping an order, I incorporate as many repurposed,
all natural, organic, biodegradable and non toxic items and methods
in an effort to be as eco-friendly as possible!

Additionally, 10% of sales are donated to KAB.org in an effort to pay it forward.

Recast Glass takes each piece whether it be a liquor, wine or glass beer bottle through a five to six step process to complete a beautiful upcycled product.  The  time and TLC that is put forth by Paulo is reflected in every piece he creates.  Paulo ensures that each creation is safe to touch and that all edges are smooth.  Depending on the complexity of the shape each piece of glass takes hours to create.  Paulo removes labels, cuts, sands, polishes, and cleans his product to perfection.

One of Recast Glass best sellers is this two piece Repurposed Wine Bottle Serving Tray From the moment this item arrived in my home I was ready to buy one for several people on my Christmas List!  Recast Glass; Review/GiveawayPaulo carefully splits each wine bottle in half to create classy serving trays for meats, crackers & cheeses, chips & dip, nuts, candy, or any other small offering at parties and on dinner tables.  The edges are smooth as silk and it was immediately clear to me that Paulo’s craft is top notch.

Recast Glass; Review/GiveawayAnother top seller is the three piece Repurposed Wine Bottle Votive Tea Light Set These are perfect for indoor or outdoor use and come ready to light with the three tea light candles included.  Again, it was clear that Recast Glass diligently works to create a beautiful product with fine lines and smooth edges.

Recast Glass; Review/GiveawayFinally, might I also recommend the Wine Bottle Self Watering Planter!
This is a top seller and without a doubt my favorite of all of Paulo’s creations.  In fact, my Recast Glass Self Watering Planter is successfully growing Cilantro on my kitchen counter.  Not only does this product grow herbs but it’s sleek look fits any kitchen décor.  I absolutely love it!

No two Recast Glass products will look identical.  These handcrafted glass pieces are 100% unique and are sure to WOW any recipient.

Recast Glass is serious about their Mission Statement.  They strive to use 100% post-consumer recycled materials as well as repurpose shipping materials they receive with incoming packages.  And did I mention that Recast Glass also creates candles?  That’s right!  You will find hand poured candles made from 100% Soy Wax and either all-natural or organic essential oils.  Because Paulo cares so much about recycling, upcycling and repurposing the candles he creates are in glass containers that can easily be cleaned out and reused once the candle has burned out.

Recast Glass strives to ship all orders within 1-2 days of payment.  Paulo is diligent when it comes to keeping all items in stock and he prides himself and his company on the rave customer reviews he receives.  This ‘green’ company has received a consistent five out of five stars on their Etsy reviews!  To read more about what others have said click here.

For readers in Arizona you can find Recast Glass at the Phoenix Open Air Market every Saturday from 8am to 1pm and on Wednesdays in December from 5pm to 8pm.  As well as at the Green Table Gifts Shop located on the northeast corner of Warner & McClintock in Chandler.
