Leaving the house before school often feels like a task that should be assigned to an Army.  And my one person Army rarely accomplishes the mission on the first try.

How a person can gather everything their child needs for school, set their home alarm, lock the door and enter the garage all WITHOUT their KEYS makes no sense to me.  Yet, at least once a week both me and the little one are out of the house and buckled up in the truck before I ever realize that I don’t have my keys.

Yes.  I am that Mom.  The one who looks organized but is NOT at all organized.  The one who can’t find her phone, forgets her keys and doesn’t take time for breakfast; yet she remembers her child’s breakfast, backpack, water bottle and any form that needs to be returned to school.

It has become a game that my four year old is rather entertained by.  Backpack? CHECK.  Water Bottle?  CHECK.  Phone? CHECK.  Keys?… Keys?… CHECK.  Breakfast?…. Um… Breakfast?…. CHECK!!  Breakfast is now served up on the console of my truck.
