Spring Wreath Made With Peeps

Peeps are not for eating, Peeps are for creating! Alright, some people eat them. Of course some people make edible play dough out of them and others use them to create a colorful spring wreath. I am in the latter two categories.

It is true. I do not eat Peeps. I do, however, think they are super cute and make for fun Edible Peeps Play Dough and simple spring decor.

Where do you fall on the Peeps scale? Do you eat them? Play with them? Decorate with them? All (or none) of the above? It seems everyone has an opinion about Peeps. Including the gentleman that was in the checkout line behind me when I purchased the Peeps for my Spring Wreath. (He was a NONE of the above.)

Regardless whether or not you eat Peeps you can always join me in using them as decor! The little chicks and bunnies come in many different bright colors. All of which look just as great hanging on the door as they do peeking out of an Easter basket.

DIRECTIONS:

  1. If you would like to paint your wreath, do that first. I used a cardboard wreath; therefore, I painted mine as edge of the cardboard could be seen on the sides of the wreath.
  2. After the paint dries (or if you skipped that step) heat up the hot glue gun, open at least three packages of Peeps and pull them apart to separate the.
  3. Next, create a hanger for your wreath by wrapping a string or ribbon around your wreath.Spring Wreath made with Peeps; TrishSutton.com
  4. Then glue your Peeps into place using a small dot of hot glue. Continue to attach the Peeps with hot glue until you have covered your Spring Wreath and your desired look is achieved.
  5. Create a bow with the ribbon then hot glue it into place.

There you have a sweet wreath! It’s fun, festive and the only thing left to do now is hang it.
