As I’ve mentioned before – I love creating with my little one’s hand prints. Documenting the year with the impression of his hand print brings me absolute joy.
So here goes another post created with my lil’ guy’s hand print and this time his foot prints as well!
A gift for Valentine’s Day, Birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and any other day…
a Made With Love Canvas.
This Canvas would also work perfect in a Baby Nursery using whatever colors compliment the space.
Items Needed:
– Canvas
– Paints
– Paint Brushes
– Precious Little Fingers & Toes
And depending on the age of the little one attached to those precious little fingers and toes you might want to add patience to the list of necessary items. Of course, if there is another adult hanging around their hands will come in handy when it is time to stamp those prints on the canvas.
Begin by painting the canvas your desired colors.
I blended mine however stripes, chevron or a solid color would work great as well.
It is a blank canvas, after all… get creative!
Continue to add paint and blend until you achieve your desired look.
Make sure you paint the sides of your canvas, as well.
After the canvas dries, use a paintbrush to brush paint onto those fingers and toes or pour a little paint onto a paper plate then rub the hands and feet of your little one in the paint.
Place them on the canvas in the place of the “O” and “V” in “LOVE”.
With your paintbrush add an “L” and an “E” to complete the word “Love”.
And there you have it… a gift for a loved one or décor for a nursery.
Most importantly, there you have a handprint and the footprints of someone special who will never be this size again.
