“Mommy, I can’t get in my car seat. I still have germs.”
It is highly possible that the hubs and myself are raising a germaphobe. Our four year old didn’t get that way on his own; yet, both me and the hubs will deny that we are germaphobes.
We will both admit to routinely cleaning our little guy’s hands with Wet Ones Antibacterial Wipes before ever buckling him up after being in a public place; be it preschool, a park, grocery store or otherwise. It is just makes sense to us to leave the germs from swingsets, grocery carts, hand rails and gas pumps behind. Especially during cough and cold season.
Collective Bias invited the right person to share her love for Wet Ones Antibacterial Wipes. I carry Wet Ones in both my purse and my truck.
Ok, so maybe we are borderline germaphobes. But seriously, who wants to hang on to all of those germs when the wipes will kill 99.99% of bacteria? Those convenient Wet Ones come in handy when there is no soap and water to clean dirty hands.
Wet Ones Antibacterial Wipes are not the only item we carry when we are on the go with our little one. We pack an ‘on the go’ caddy that only requires a few minutes to assemble. While Wet Ones give us peace of mind when it comes to spreading germs, our ‘on the go’ caddy offers us a little peace during those stretches of backseat boredom.
Follow along to create your own backseat boredom buster caddy for little ones…
First, grab a caddy! In our case, a red plastic file folder organizer works perfectly. Other caddy options include a basket, tub, small crate, reusable grocery bag or let your little one decorate an old box that was doomed to land in the recycle bin.
Second, think of the little traveler’s favorite backseat approved snacks. We often opt for a water bottle, crackers & fruit snacks.
Next, pick up a travel pack of Wet Ones Antibacterial Wipes from Target! They will come in handy when it is time to clean those sticky snacks off little fingers. Fresh Scent and Citrus Wet Ones hand wipes smell great and Wet Ones Aloe formula are hypoallergenic and won’t dry skin like some liquid hand sanitizers.
For little ones in the pre-reading stage I recommend adding sight word (with pictures) flashcards to your caddy. A second set of flashcards that come in handy for the preschool age is math facts. The cards do not even require a parent to hold them if the little one reads the math problem aloud before solving it.
A go-to for almost any little one is something to draw on! A dry erase board and a couple dry erase markers ensure that there is an endless amount of art space. And those Wet Ones that combat winter germs and clean sticky fingers also come in handy when it is time to wipe the board clean after each masterpiece.
Finally, add a busy activity that will help develop those fine motor skills. Creating this type of traveling activity is easy! Just punch holes in a piece of cardboard or cardstock multiple times with a hole punch then grab shoelaces, ribbon, yarn or pipe cleaners and there you have a backseat activity with a dual purpose.
Place your fun filled On The Go With Little Ones And Wet Ones caddy within arm’s reach in the backseat and you are ready to GO!
Target Cartwheel is offering 15% Off Wet Ones Travel Packs or Wet Ones Big Ones until January 23rd. Follow this link to grab the offer before your next trip to Target. The Target that I frequent stocks Wet Ones near the picnic and paper products; more specifically Aise # A47 in the back of the store. They also had a variety of Wet Ones travel packs near the registers.
