An upcycled project turned canister, caddy or vase using an old can, burlap ribbon and a little bit of lace. Upcycled Burlap Vase; Wide Natural Burlap Ribbon Review.
I am a big fan of upcycling and as it turns out, I am also a big fan of Kenarry: Ideas for the Home’s new product. Recently Carrie and Kent shared in their weekly newsletter the release of their Wide Natural Burlap Ribbon. The ribbon happened to be on Amazon Prime and it happened to be exactly what I needed for my upcycled can. The price was right, the shipping was free and so I ordered it!
Upcycled Burlap Vase; Wide Natural Burlap Ribbon Review
Two days later I opened my Amazon box. It was immediately evident that I was going to love this burlap ribbon. The 10 yard roll of ribbon is 5 inches wide, which (in my opinion) is just the right size. Kenarry’s burlap has a much softer feel than the other burlap I have stowed away. And the best part is that the edges of the ribbon are sewn. Anyone who works with burlap understands how awesome that is!
The burlap ribbon was exactly what I needed to create an upcycled can versatile enough to use in the kitchen, office, bathroom or any other room.

I have decided that I am already in need of creating a few more upcycled burlap vases. My first one started as a pen caddy then transitioned right into a vase for roses from my yard. When I do make another one the first thing going it that one will be my makeup brushes!
This versatile Upcycled Burlap Vase would also make a great picnic canister for napkins and utensils. As well as a great Mother’s Day gift.
