Begin by adding cranberries, apples, oranges and one orange peel to a food processor or blender. Turn the appliance on low and watch for the fruit to be finely chopped then turn it off when a relish consistency is achieved. (It takes about a 1 – 1.5 minutes in my food processor.)
After the fruit is finely chopped pour it into a medium size mixing bowl. Add sugar and pecans or walnuts then stir with a spoon or spatula until well combine. Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours (or overnight).
Serve cold. Enjoy cranberry relish as a side dish, a spread, alone, and at any time day or night.
