Cranberry Relish Recipe; My Favorite Holiday Side Dish with flavors of bitter cranberries, sweet apples, a bit of citrus & the crunch of a pecan.

Cranberry Relish Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Carton or Bag of Cranberries
  • 2 Apples (include peel)
  • 2 Oranges (include 1 peel only)
  • 1 Cup Splenda Sugar Blend (or 2 Cups of Sugar)
  • 1 Small Bag of Pecan Pieces or Walnut Pieces

Instructions

  1. Begin by adding cranberries, apples, oranges and one orange peel to a food processor or blender. Turn the appliance on low and watch for the fruit to be finely chopped then turn it off when a relish consistency is achieved. (It takes about a 1 – 1.5 minutes in my food processor.)

  2. After the fruit is finely chopped pour it into a medium size mixing bowl. Add sugar and pecans or walnuts then stir with a spoon or spatula until well combine. Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours (or overnight).

  3. Serve cold. Enjoy cranberry relish as a side dish, a spread, alone, and at any time day or night.
