This year Amazon Prime Day lands on July 11th. And for those of us who prefer shopping online as opposed to standing in line Prime Day feels a little bit like Christmas in July.
If you don’t already know, Prime Day is a day when Amazon offers flash deals cutting costs on a wide variety of products. Multiple sources have compared Amazon Prime Day to Black Friday and many of those have come to the conclusion that The best deal on a television in 2016 was on Prime Day in July rather than Black Friday in November.
Amazon’s limited deals will begin at 9pm EST on July 10th and new deals will be shared on their website every five minutes for thirty hours. There is no category discrimination when it comes to those deals. Amazon will offer a number of timed deals on some of their best sellers across the board and I have five tips for taking advantage of those deals.

Tip #1
Download the Amazon App.
The Amazon app is easy to use and having Prime Day deals quickly accessible on your mobile device and/or tablet will be key to locking in those limited quantity deals before they slip away.
Tip #2
Create a wishlist.
As a Prime Member you can set up and save multiple wish lists. If any of the items on your wishlist go on sale during Prime Day you will receive a notification when that deal is available.
Tip #3
Check the Lightning Deals often & add alerts.
Follow the “Upcoming” link on Amazon’s “Today’s Deals” page to view deals before they are live. If you see a product that you are interested in click on “Watch this deal”. You will then receive an alert when that deal begins.
Tip #4
Shop competitor websites.
Prime Day has been in existence since 2015. History shows that competitors like Best Buy, Target and Walmart will also offer “Black Friday” type deals on Amazon Prime Day.

Follow Amazon on Facebook.
Amazon has already begun sharing deals on their Facebook page. Follow them for the latest on Prime Day then snag the best deals and celebrate Christmas in July.
