My oldest son’s absolute favorite treat are all things cake batter. Cake batter milkshakes, cake batter fudge, cake batter dip and anything else that starts with cake and ends with batter like these Cake Batter Muddy Buddies.

Cake Batter Muddy Buddies

Ingredients:

  • 5 Cups Chex Cereal (Rice or Corn)
  • 1 1/2 Cups Funfetti Cake Mix (dry mix)
  • 8 ounces Vanilla Candy Coating
  • 3/4 Cup Sprinkles

Supplies:

Directions:

Begin by pouring the Chex cereal into a large mixing bowl then set it aside.

Next pour the cake mix into a large ziploc bag and set it aside.

Then melt the vanilla candy coating in a microwave safe bowl. Follow the directions on the package. I heat mine on high for 90 seconds then I stir it until the candy is completely smooth.

Pour the melted vanilla candy over the Chex cereal. Use a spatula to gently fold the candy and cereal together. Be careful not to crush the cereal squares.

Add sprinkles to the cereal and candy mixture then continue to gently stir the muddy buddy mix.

Finally, pour the muddy buddy mix into the prepared ziploc bag of dry cake mix. Seal the bag then shake it until all of the cereal is coated with the funfetti cake.

Store Cake Batter Muddy Buddies in a sealed container at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
