Christmas is, indeed, the season for snowflakes, sparkle and handmade ornaments. That said, if the ‘sparkle’ part of the seasonal creations means glitter you can count me out. As much as I appreciate a little glitz on our Christmas Tree, I do not EVER willinging use glitter.
My crafting motto: Glitter is forever.
However, I am certain that this Craft Stick Snowflake Christmas Tree Ornament would look absolutely lovely covered in glitter.

Supplies Needed:
- Mini Craft Sticks
- White Craft Paint
- Glitter Paint
- Hot Glue Gun
- Rhinestones
- Ribbon
Begin by painting four craft sticks white. After the white paint dries add a coat (or two) of glitter paint over the craft sticks.
Next, add a dot of hot glue to the center of a mini craft stick then place another craft stick onto the glue dot creating an ‘X’ or cross.
After you have glued two mini craft sticks together, repeat that same step gluing two more painted sticks together creating another ‘X’ or cross.
Secure the two sets of mini craft sticks together with more hot glue creating a snowflake shape.
Add rhinestones to the center and eight ends of your Craft Stick Snowflake Christmas Tree Ornament. (If you happen to like glitter, this would be the perfect time to paint a thin layer of glue on your snowflake and top the glue with glitter.)
Finally, create a loop out of a piece of ribbon then secure it to the back of the Craft Stick Snowflake with hot glue to use as a hanger on your Christmas tree.
