Graham crackers topped with two types of chocolate, covered in marshmallow bits, and sprinkled with graham cracker crumbs… oh so good. An Indoor S’mores Treat: Double Chocolate S’mores Bark goes oh so fast!
Recently I shared a text message on Instagram that I received from our oldest at 3:53 am. The first born works until 3am on the weekends and so it is not rare for me to receive texts from him in the middle of the night. This particular text was just one single word, “CRACK!!!!”
Receiving this one word text message at such an odd hour of the night could be a bit concerning. However, I knew immediately that our night owl must have tried the product of a recipe I had left on counter. The recipe was for a would be Indoor S’mores Treat similar to my Halloween Chocolate Bark and my Chocolate Mint Cookie Bark.
My trial recipe rounds had included using different types of chocolate, various flavors and adjusted amounts of each ingredient hoping to achieve the taste of S’mores. So when I received the 3:53am “CRACK!!!!” stamp of approval I decided I must have accomplished my goal and my Double Chocolate S’mores Bark was ready to share.
I shared a little sampling with a friend who told me that as she drove home she littered the driver seat of her vehicle with graham cracker crumbs. Once she was home my friend text me my second approval, noting that my initial taste tester was “spot on”.
Indoor S’mores Treat: Double Chocolate S’mores Bark
also known as “CRACK”
Ingredients
1 bag Milk Chocolate Chips
1 bag White Chocolate Chips
1 box Graham Crackers
1 /2 ounce Marshmallow Bits
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Line a 15×10 inch cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Cover the pan in one layer of Graham Crackers.
Pour the Milk Chocolate Chips onto half of the Graham Crackers.
Then pour the White Chocolate Chips onto the other half of the Graham Crackers.
Place pan in oven and bake at 325 degrees for 4 minutes.
Crumble 3 Graham Cracker squares in a bowl with a spoon, set aside.
Remove pan from oven, spray a spatula or butter knife with cooking spray then smear the chips with it until the melted chocolate is covering all of the Graham Crackers.
Sprinkle Marshmallow Bits and Graham Cracker Crumbs over the layer of melted chocolate.
Spray the backside of a spatula with cooking spray then lightly press the bits and crackers into the melted chocolate using the prepared spatula.
Place in the refrigerator for at least one hour or until set.
(If you are in a hurry put the pan in the freezer until your Indoor S’mores are set.)
Break the Double Chocolate S’mores Bark into pieces. And enjoy!
