On the edge of Scottsdale lives a golf resort that my family spent several days at last fall. Orange Tree Golf Resort is just down the road from our house which was exactly what we needed while our home was under a small renovation.

We knew that the location of Orange Tree would be great for our needs and upon check-in we found that the property was just as accommodating.

Our family stayed in a one bedroom suite on the first floor. The sidewalk entry into our temporary home was private. Once inside the Orange Tree suite we found that our living area was rather large. There was a wrap around sofa, table with two chairs and a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator and microwave.

The bathroom was rather roomy with ample closet and cabinet space. Along with double sinks there was a walk-in shower and a garden jetted bath tub. The bedroom had two double beds and double doors for privacy.

During our several night stay we did not encounter any loud noise from upstairs or outdoors. On more than one occasion we enjoyed a walk around the fairly large property to soak in the stillness. Our time at Orange Tree was very peaceful.

One consideration that could be a drawback for some travelers is the outdated rooms at Orange Tree. The decor in our suite felt old and the TVs were on the small side. However, we were told that several rooms had recently been renovated on the other side of the property. Another important factor for some vacationers would be that housekeeping does not clean the rooms during a guest’s stay. (Hotel staff will clean rooms by request for an additional fee).

The grounds at Orange Tree Golf Course were clean, green and lush. Along with the 18-hole golf course the resort offered many additional on-site activities for guests. In the swimming pool area there was a children’s pool, hot tub, ping pong table and a calendar filled with daily activities for all ages. Orange Tree also had a playground, fitness center, horseshoe pit, bbq grills and cactus garden.

Whether you are looking for a quiet couple’s getaway or a fun filled family vacation I highly recommend Orange Tree Golf Resort; Scottsdale, Arizona. Our family plans on enjoying another Orange Tree staycation soon.
