It is important to me not to allow myself to feel stress over Christmas shopping. (Christmas traffic is another story when it comes to stress.) I do not want those magical moments of the season to escape me and so I do my best to breathe it in. (While doing my best to ignore the traffic.) One way that I have found to stress less about gifts is by creating lists.

This morning my little one asked me if I had already bought presents for the entire family. Ha! After answering his question with a “not yet” and an approximate number of purchased gifts he was quick to offer advice. The little guy’s response: “there’s 40 days until Christmas, so you could just buy one present a day”.
I was much more surprised by the idea of buying 40 gifts than I was the countdown; however, if we are counting his advent calendar items and stocking stuffers then I am definitely behind on the one gift a day plan.
