A simple appetizer made with bacon, cream cheese, and jalapeños together along with pimentos then spread on a flour tortilla and rolled. Bacon, Cream Cheese & Jalapeño Rolls.
I am BIG on the cream cheese and jalapeño union. These delicious Tortilla Rolls come together in minutes and are ready to serve after an hour in the refrigerator. Along with the cream cheese and jalapeños this recipe calls for bacon; however, it can very easily be made vegetarian if you skip the bacon.
Bacon, Cream Cheese & Jalapeño Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 dozen Flour Tortillas
- 2 1/2 blocks Cream Cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup Crumbled Bacon
- 1/4 cup diced Pimentos (strained)
- 2 tablespoons diced Jalapeños
Supplies
Instructions
Add the softened cream cheese with crumbled bacon, pimentos and jalapeños in a medium size mixing bowl. Then use a wooden spoon or heavy spatula to mix the ingredients together until it is well blended.
Next, use a spatula to spread a thin layer of the creamy mixture on a flour tortilla. Cover the tortilla then roll up the tortilla. Continue to spread and roll the flour tortillas until the mixture is gone then place the rolled tortillas seam side down on a plate or tray.
Place the tray of rolled tortillas in the refrigerator and chill for one hour. Remove the tray from the refrigerator and cut the rolled tortillas into bite size pieces. (I typically cut a thin slice off of each end of the Tortilla roll to keep a clean edge for all cut rolls.) Arrange the cut tortilla rolls on a plate or platter and serve cool. Enjoy!
