There are just six ingredients that make up this Margarita! Beer, Tequila and a few more non-alcoholic ingredients. Even better, it only takes about ten minutes to prepare this refreshing iced cocktail.

Taco Tuesday, Thirsty Thursday, Cinco de Mayo, Happy Hour, Mexican Fiesta… it’s 5:00 somewhere, right? Whatever it is a Beerita Margarita is in order. This beverage is not too sweet, not too potent and with a little bit of fresh squeezed Orange Juice it has a flavor all it’s own.

Don’t just take my word for it… try it for yourself.

Beerita Margarita:
A Margarita Made With Beer

1 Beer (12 oz)
I prefer Dos Equis or Coors Light
12 oz Tequila
1 Can Frozen Limeade (12 oz)
6 oz Sprite
6 oz Water
1 Orange
Ice

Coarse Salt for Glass Rim, if desired
Limes and an additional Orange for Garnish

To create these Beerita Margaritas add Beer, Tequila, Limeade, Sprite and Water to a two quart pitcher.

Squeeze the juice of one Orange and add it to the Margarita mixture. Using a long spoon or whisk mix the Beerita Margaritas until it is well combined and the Limeade has melted. Add a cup (or so) of Ice Cubes to the Pitcher.

There will be pulp from the Limeade and the Orange, so when you see floaties don’t be concerned. If prefered, you can use a strainer and pour the Beerita Margarita mix into a different pitcher to ditch the pulp, if preferred.

Rub a Lime wedge around the rim of a glass then dip the glass into salt. Pour Beerita into the glass and add a couple ice cubes. If desired, add an Orange slice and Lime slice as garnish. Enjoy!

Easy enough, right? And just as delicious as it is easy. Happy Taco Tuesday, Thirsty Thursday, Cinco de Mayo, Happy ‘Happy’ Hour, Mexican Fiesta and Happy 5:00! Cheers!
