A couple weeks ago I shared a free printable scavenger hunt that can be played anytime and anywhere Halloween decor is displayed. This week my free printable was created with October 31st in mind; Halloween Candy Scavenger Hunt.
It is inevitable that within minutes after trick-or-treating has ended there will be a pile of candy on the floor. The sorting of chocolate and non-chocolate candy ensues. And the discussion of likes and dislikes commences. Then before bedtime arrives there is a round of negotiating candy exchanges.
All of that said, the trick-or-treat loot review is somewhat like a scavenger hunt itself so why not make it a game?
Halloween Candy Scavenger Hunt Free Printable
This fun free printable can be used any time a variety of Halloween candy is involved. Post trick-or-treating is a given but if you happen to be hosting a Halloween party why not add a friendly scavenger game to the party agenda? Simply fill a piñata with some (or all) of the candy noted on the Halloween Candy Scavenger Hunt printable.
When it comes down to the rules of your candy hunt game it could be a timed event. The first sugar connoisseur to check off all 16 candy types wins. In the case that the candy collection does not cover the spread the gamer with the most items checked off their list is the winner.
The prizes for said candy scavenger winner is up to you. Dare I suggest a trophy toothbrush for first place prize? And those who don’t win the grand prize must forfeit one of the game referee’s favorite candies? Of course, that is if YOU happen to be the Halloween Candy Scavenger Hunt referee.
Below are a few more of my Halloween free printables but before you go be sure to pin this post.
