My Sister’s Avocado Margarita

Have you ever had an Avocado Margarita? July 24th is National Tequila Day and in honor of the distilled beverage made from the Blue Agave Plant of Mexico, I asked my sister to share her Avocado Margarita Recipe with all of us.

Good news…  She agreed!  So, not only is today National Tequila Day it is also our LUCKY day.  Which means it is time to pull out the blender!

Avocado Margarita Recipe

My sister was very specific that the Tequila should be 100% pure De Agave Silver Tequila. I was not able to find this particular type of Tequila at our local grocery store however the nearby liquor store had 100% De Agave Silver Tequila available in a few different brands.

She also stressed the importance that the avocado be ripe, if fact, my sister’s words were “squishy ripe”.  If you have 100% pure De Agave Silver Tequila, a squishy ripe avocado and a blender you are on your way to a delightful creamy frozen Avocado Margarita. Cheers to you!

We also love a good Beerita at our house along with this frozen concoction recipe for a tasty Rumarita. If you are looking for a ‘lighter’ cocktail containing Tequila, try my best friend’s ‘Summer Goddess’.
