While it doesn’t quite “feel” like Fall here, the calendar clearly tells me that Fall is upon us. Candy Corn Pumpkin Trio Tower | Simple Six Dollar Fall Decor.
To celebrate what the calendar reflects we have slowly started decorating for Fall at our house. It is September, afterall! This week we created a few new autumn decorations including a simple project perfect for any age – A Candy Corn Pumpkin Trio Tower.
The items used to create this festive vase can be purchased at the nearest dollar store or craft store and this simple project makes for a fun weekend activity.
Candy Corn Pumpkin Trio Tower
SUPPLIES
Glass Vase
2 to 3 Bags of Candy Corn
3 Small Pumpkins
(that will fit inside the vase)
Spray Paint
(if desired; I spray painted my yellow and white pumpkins)
DIRECTIONS:
- First, I used tape to cover the stems of the two pumpkins I planned on painting.
- I then painted one pumpkin yellow and the other pumpkin white.
- After allowing time to dry I poured about an inch of candy corn into the bottom of the glass vase.
- Next I added the yellow pumpkin, followed by another layer of candy corn topped with the orange pumpkin. After I added the next layer of candy corn, the white pumpkin and then my three year old sidekick filled our vase with candy corn.
The outcome adds a festive feel to our kitchenette and is a colorful reminder that Fall is near even if it is still 100 degrees outside.
