A simple family meal made with just five ingredients; Easy Crockpot Orange Chicken Recipe.
There is easy and then there is crockpot easy. Not only is this recipe for Orange Chicken super easy it is full of flavor and requires only five ingredients.
My family enjoys Orange Chicken with brown rice and fresh steamed veggies; however, this crockpot version of Orange Chicken will taste amazing in a wrap or on focaccia bread.
Easy Crockpot Orange Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3-4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, thawed
- 1 cup Sweet Orange Marmalade
- 1 cup BBQ Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon Red Pepper Flakes
Optional: Green Onion, chopped
Directions:
Prepare crockpot with cooking spray then cut chicken into bite size pieces. Cook chicken in crockpot on low heat for two hours. (Do not add any sauce; the chicken will create it’s own juices.) Stir after one hour.
After the chicken has cooked for two hours drain the juices from the crockpot. (Leave the chicken in the crockpot.)
In a small bowl whisk together the orange marmalade, bbq sauce, soy sauce and red pepper until well combined. Pour this mixture over the chicken then toss until all of the chicken pieces are covered.
Cook on low for an additional two hours; stir the chicken and sauce after an hour. If chicken is not cooked through, leave it in the crockpot on low for an additional half hour.
Serve warm with brown rice and/or fresh veggies; if desired, top with chopped green onion. Enjoy!
Another one of my family’s favorite chicken crockpot recipes is Pineapple Teriyaki Chicken; it is just as easy as this Orange Chicken. You can find that recipe right here.
And if you like buffalo chicken you won’t want to miss my Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Sliders Recipe. That super simple recipe can be found over here.
