Sounds like a blast, doesn’t it? St. Patrick’s Day might just be the most fun holiday of the year. It’s definitely the greenest.

Decorate Your Home

We all know that green is the color most associated with St. Patrick’s Day. Ireland is known as “The Emerald Isle” and is said to have 40 shades of green therefore decorating your house in green is a must for St. Patrick’s Day.

Green tablecloth, green napkins, even green tableware! Set a St. Patrick’s Day table using different shades of green (there are 40 shades, after all) then select one of the Free Holiday Printable; St. Patrick’s Day Labels from to use as placecards. Simply print a couple sheets of labels, cut them out, write an Irish Blessing or a silly joke then place them on the table.

Why did the leprechaun stand on the potato?
So he wouldn’t get his feet wet in the stew!

Don’t forget to add different St. Patrick’s Day labels to party cups! It’s a festive and practical way to ensure everyone keeps track of their cup as they are mingling and moving through the party.

Plan the St. Patrick’s Menu

Though cooking traditional Irish meals that include Irish soda bread, Irish stew, corned beef (or bacon) and cabbage is one way to feed your party goers, you could also make some of your everyday favorite recipes and add  a little St. Patrick’s Day fun by making the food green. Using green food coloring to make pancakes, muffins, cookies & cake would be a hit at your green party.
