Personalized Ornament
SUPPLIES
Clear Fillable Ornament Ball
(check Amazon, craft stores & the dollar store for clear bulbs)
Wedding, Birth or Graduation Announcement
Straw or Pen
Paper Cutter
(or a pair scissors & steady hands)
Optional: Ribbon, Wood Letters or Numbers
DIRECTIONS:
Simply cut the announcement into thin even strips. I tried not to cut through too many words so that the invitation verbiage was still visible through the bulb.
Wrap paper strips around a straw or a pen to create paper spirals. Then remove the top of the ornament and drop spirals into the clear bulb.
Finally replace the top then thread a ribbon through the hanger and tie a bow.
If desired, paint tiny wood letters or numbers recognizing the married couple’s last name, new baby’s name or year of the event then add them to the bulb. Another idea would be to use a paint pen or permanent marker to write the year on the outside of the bulb.
