Grilled Pizza Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
2 1/2 Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon White Sugar
1 Teaspoon Table Salt
1 Cup Warm Water
3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1 Tablespoon Yeast
1 Jar of Pizza Sauce
2 Cups Grated Mozzarella Cheese
Desired Pizza toppings
DIRECTIONS:
Begin by making the pizza dough. Add Flour, Sugar and Salt to a mixing bowl, stir together & set aside. In a small bowl whisk Water, Oil & Yeast until blended; stir wet mixture into the dry mix until well blended. Let the dough rest for five minutes.
Preheat BBQ Grill to a Medium heat.
Roll out dough to preferred size – smaller is easier to maneuver on the grill. (The cooler the dough the easier the placement is on the grill; if time permits, chill rolled out pizza dough in the refrigerator for five minutes.)
Place pizza dough on grill, cover with lid, grill for 4-5 minutes. Remove from grill.
Top the cooked side of each Pizza with Sauce, Cheese, and Toppings then return Pizzas to the grill raw side down. Cover & grill for an additional 4-5 minutes.
Tip: For ease of use, spray spatula with cooking spray to prevent dough from sticking.
Happy Grilling!
