There is a time for inside activities and the time is now. Ten Kids Popsicle Stick Crafts.
Correction: the time for inside activities was LAST WEEK. Our temperatures here in central Arizona were so high last week that flights were grounded at the airport. There were a couple days of 119* degree weather and a few that hovered around 117* degrees.
As my husband left for work one morning he offered ‘Dad advice’: “Stay inside. And drink plenty of water.”
Easy for him to say (and do). He sits at a desk all day in a high rise uptown. But me? I work from home with a six year old shadow who is on summer break and full of energy.
However, as far as I am concerned my husband’s advice is right on point. Which means anything in the backyard was off limits. Even the swimming pool. Call me crazy but 89 degree water on a 119 degree day is not at all refreshing.
Iced tea and popsicles to the rescue! And crafts. Crafting, books and first grade worksheets was our retreat from the record breaking temperatures outside.

A big THANK YOU goes out to the bloggers who shared their Kids Popsicle Stick Crafts with me.
As for the rest of my readers, my hope is that your only excuse to eat popsicles today is because you and your little ones need the sticks to assemble one of the cute crafts shared up above.
